# Steps to Delete Your Data

*Login to Your Account*

- Open the BillerPay app.
- Login to your account using your credentials.


2. *Access Account Settings*

- Navigate to the 'Settings' or 'Profile' section from the main menu.
- Select 'Account Settings' or 'Privacy Settings'.


*Request Data Deletion*

- Locate the 'Delete Account' or 'Data Deletion' option.
- Read the information provided regarding data deletion.
- Confirm your request by selecting the 'Delete Account' or 'Delete Data' button.

*Verification Process*

- You may be required to verify your identity to proceed with the deletion. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the verification process.
- You will receive an email confirming your data deletion request. Please follow any further instructions provided in the email to finalize the deletion process.


# What Happens After Deletion

*Immediate Deactivation*:

Upon initiating the deletion request, your account will be immediately deactivated and you will no longer have access to the BillerPay services.

*Data Removal*:

We will start the process of permanently deleting your personal data from our systems. This process is with immediate effect once the delete button has be clicked and confirmed by the user

*Retention of Necessary Data*:

Please note that certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, and security reasons. This may include transaction records and other data required by law.

# Important Notes

- *Irreversible Action*:

Data deletion is a permanent and irreversible action. Once your data is deleted, it cannot be recovered.

*Third-Party Services*:

If you have used BillerPay to interact with third-party services, you may need to contact these services directly to delete your data from their records.

Data Deletion Requests via Support

If you are unable to access your account or prefer to request data deletion via our support team, please send an email to complaint@billerpay.net with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Include the following information in your email:

- Your full name
- Your registered email address
- Reason for the data deletion request

Our support team will verify your identity and process your request accordingly.
